Talya Stitcher

Talya is a cat-obsessed, challah-loving, pottery-attempting poet and photographer, whose work has been described as “warm and relatable, with an ability to vibrantly capture the small moments”. She produces Sounds Queer, the Sheffield-based variety night celebrating and platforming Yorkshire’s queer community.

At last year’s Roundhouse Poetry Slam, Joelle Taylor called her “cinematic” and she’s still not over it! Other credits include Eastside’s ‘I know I wish I will’, BBC Edinburgh Fringe Slam, Homos and Houmous, Leeds Queer Film Festival, and Vagina Museum’s Edinburgh Fringe launch. In future, she plans to work on projects that bring her poetry and photography together to examine the intersections of queerness and religion.
