Plynth

Tom Harris studied Music Technology at De Montfort university in Leicester in 2011. He has collaborated with the Czech composer Tomas Zeman on the jazz/hip hop album Black Sheep featuring Haleighblu Low. In 2013 he released the Jazz EP Symmetry Sounds working with Asha Jazz and Ty Heali alongside this releasing the ‘Cookie Jar’ film with Guy Jenkins. He founded Project S2di0 in 2010, a Creative project space and Recording studio where he has conducted community projects as well as collaborating and recording a wide variety of Nottingham based artists, collectives and performers. Tom Harris co-created Plynth in 2014, a Nottingham based experimental audio visual ensemble, featuring the musicians Dave Hepple, Glen Hicks and visual artist William Pettipher. They will be coming together for the UK Young Artist festival to create an uplifting ambience of spontaneity, delicate sonics and poetic expression, blurring the boundaries between sonic and visual arts.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TALES

Plynth will be performing a 40 minute audio visual performance featuring live instrumentation and spontaneously generated visuals. Featuring David Hepple - Guitar, Glen Hicks - Bass, Tom Harris - Beats, Keys, Voice and Will Pettipher - Visuals and Saxophone.

Each of the participants are artists within their own right and will be coming together for this occasion to create something extraordinary, creating an uplifting ambience of spontaneity, delicate sonics and poetic expression, blurring the boundaries between sonic and visual arts.
